Fan of the Month - November 2023
ELIZABETH P.
1. When did you first become a fan of Dashboard Confessional?
I first became a fan during their release of Dusk and Summer in 2006. I loved heaven here ,stolen ( which would later be my wedding first dance song in 2021) and rooftops and invitations! My friend introduced me to their music more in 2007 when we saw them at Summerfest in Milwaukee!
2. How has Dashboard Confessional affected your life?
My friend from when I was 17 is someone who is not in my life much . However, we always reach out to each other when it has to do with a Dashboard Confessional concert or news about the band . We saw them 3 times together and met Chris together. It was a wonderful experience. They have also shaped my interest in music and write songs that have helped me through some difficult times.
I had a lot of past trauma that was brought up in 2021 and the song here’s to moving on got me through those very hard days.
I have met Chris and the rest of the band a handful of times and it has affected me so positively! I love music and enjoy singing and dashboard confessional inspires me to continue that!
3. If you have attended a Dashboard Confessional concert - what was it like for you?
I’m on my 12th Dashboard Confessional concert and each one is unique and meaningful! From hearing the full the places you have come to fear the most album , dancing to stolen right after my husband and I got married , seeing their concert with a good friend and randomly seeing them at a bar in Minnesota after!, to seeing them and meeting Chris with my friend I knew since 17. They also put on a great show ! I am excited to see them on the West Coast.
4. Any suggestions for what we can do/set up for Saints & Sailors Fan Club?
If there is anyway to plan ahead more the Q & A with Chris, sometimes I cannot attend because I work late.
5. If you could give Dashboard Confessional a message - what would it be?
You are and will always be my favorite band. Your music is so relatable and have been attached to some of my most important life events . You are also the kindest band I know . Thanks for giving me the space to talk with you whether at a meet and greet, seeing Scott S. out in my hometown / his hometown of Milwaukee, or by getting the chance to see you all at a bar after the concert!
