Fan Of The Month - February 2026

RACHEL

1.  When did you first become a fan of Dashboard Confessional? One of my older sister’s friends I’d grown up knowing happened to be one of my student teachers my junior year of high school (2001). He burned The Swiss Army Romance for me. First listen I was hooked.

2.  How has Dashboard Confessional affected your life? The music itself has always been a place of comfort for me. Happy, sad and everything between Dashboard has always been the soundtrack.

I love traveling and when I was young the shows gave me an excuse to nail down dates for trips to places or friends I wanted to visit.

I’ve met some of my lifelong friends via Dashboard. From talking on the boards to waiting in line all day at shows to traveling together we’ve been through a lot for a long, long time. Some have remained close, some haven’t but I’m always still rooting for them all.

3.  If you have attended a Dashboard Confessional concert - what was it like for you? I’ve been to many, many shows. It’s always fun and feels like going home in a way. Every show is different.

I will admit I miss the days of a band releasing an album then touring that album but I get you have to play the hits and what most people come to see after a certain point in your career. I was lucky enough to get my 20 year full album shows right before covid shut the world down. They were some of my favorite dashboard shows in recent times.

4.  Any suggestions for what we can do/set up for Saints & Sailors Fan Club? I think it’s great! I love the guests that have joined the video chats!

I’d love to see people be more active on the boards. Notifications on there so you know who liked what you said or when someone replies.

Maybe some kind of one show a tour vip/meet & greet type situation for saints & sailors members.

S&S Exclusive merch maybe?

5.  If you could give Dashboard Confessional a message - what would it be?  Thank you. For the music, memories and love. I’m just a person who’s shown up way too often for way too long but your never ending kindness has always been appreciated. As long as you’re writing songs I’ll be listening. Also, I miss Twin Forks. :)
